LEED v4.1 Beta: New Credit Strategies for BD+C and ID+C rating systems

Presented by Charlie Cichetti, WELL AP + WELL Faculty, LEED AP BD+C, ID+C, O+M, ND, Homes | CEO at SIG and GBES.com

  • Understand the major changes to the latest iteration of the LEED rating systems (for new construction and interiors) – v4.1.

  • Formulate an argument to include EV infrastructure in a new building design based on LEED v4.1 choosing EV charging stations over carpool and LEV parking spaces.

  • Recognize the high-impact v4.1 credit changes that can be substituted to streamline your v4 application such as the newly combined renewable energy credit.

  • Explain why projects should reinvest in pursuing Building Product Disclosure and Optimization credits based on more accessible v4.1 thresholds.

  • Justify LEED crosswalks with other rating systems by explaining the exemplary performance available for weaving social equity and health goals into the integrated process credit.
